WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSha'Carri Richardson's boyfriend defends her after arrest for alleged assault against himOlympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested last weekend for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, fellow sprinter Christian Coleman. The couple were at the Seattle Tacoma Airport on Sunday when an officer at the airport was notified by a Transportation Security Administration supervisor of a disturbance between Richardson and Coleman, according to the police report, via The Associated Press.Richardson is alleged to have grabbed Coleman's backpack, yanked it, shoved Coleman into a wall and threw headphones at him. The incident occurred days before the United States Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMColeman declined to be a victim in the case, a police report said, and he made it very clear that he wants to move on from the "sucky situation."In fact, Coleman believed the arrest was too far."I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you,so does everybody. But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love," Coleman told reporters this weekend at the USATF event."I look at situations like this, take a step back, analyze it self-mentally, and then just try to see what you can do to be your best self Shes a human being, and a great person. We've been good teammates all year She has a lot of things going on, a lot of emotions and forces going on inside of her that not only I cant understand, but nobody can. Shes one of one. And Im one of one too."NOAH LYLES STARES DOWN OLYMPIC TEAMMATE AFTER COMEBACK VICTORY, GETS SHOVED AFTERWARDRichardson won the 100 at the 2023 world championships in Budapest, Hungary, and finished with the silver medal in the event at the Paris Games last summer. She also helped take the 4x100 relay to an Olympic gold. The 25-year-old was going to compete in Tokyo four years ago, but she tested positive for cannabis. She accepted a one-month suspension by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, making her ineligible for the 100 meters. She was also not selected for the 4x100 relay team, delaying her Olympic debut until Paris. This wasn't Richardson's first controversy at an airport. The track star was booted off a plane in January 2023 after a dispute with a flight attendant who she said spoke to her in a disrespectful manner.Richardson missed qualifying for the 200-meter final by one-hundredth of a second. She has a bye in the 100-meter after winning the world title in that event two years ago. Both Coleman and Richardson won gold at the world championships in 2023 for the 4x100 meter. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMGOP memo preps House Republicans to tout Trump's 'big, beautiful bill' as Dems go on offenseFIRST ON FOX: A new memo being sent to House Republicans on Monday is encouraging them to tout new work requirements for Medicaid and federal food benefits, as lawmakers return to their districts for Congress' annual August recess period.Democrats and Republicans are locked in a messaging war over President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill," a fight that's only expected to intensify as the 2026 midterm elections creep closer.Advancing American Freedom (AAF), a group founded by former Vice President Mike Pence, is looking to provide backup to GOP lawmakers with new guidance on how to sell the bill to constituents. The memo positions Democratic attacks as "Left Wing operativesalready working to distort and malign every part of the [one big, beautiful bill]."GOP LAWMAKERS CLASH OVER STRATEGY TO AVERT GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN CRISISDemocrats have been accusing Republicans of ripping federal benefits like Medicaid away from millions of people in order to give tax breaks to the wealthy. They're hoping to gin up enough outrage against the bill to carry them to take back the House of Representatives next year. But the memo's first section encourages GOP lawmakers to point out that "every Democrat voted against" the bill, followed by three of what the right sees as its strongest points. The AAF memo urges Republicans to say, for example, that the bill's extension of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) avoided a cumulative $4 trillion tax increase for Americans, including "working families."The bill also includes "$165 billion to secure the border, including 3,000 new border patrol agents, $10,000 bonuses for ICE and Border Patrol agents, and $46.5 billion for the wall," and "$150 billion to rebuild our military including shipbuilding, nuclear arsenal, and the Golden Dome," which Democrats opposed as well in their votes against the bill.In addition to more talking points celebrating the bill's tax cuts, energy provisions, and spending cut measures, AAF appears to be calling on Republicans to take on Democrats' criticism of federal benefit reforms head-on.The memo touts "commonsense Medicaid reforms" like "a work requirement for able-bodied adults who are not caretakers or parents of children under 15 years old in the Medicaid and SNAP programs."It also encourages Republicans to point out the bill "reduces payments for Medicaid to states that provide coverage to illegal aliens by a commensurate amount" and "requires regular reviews to ensure that dead or ineligible people are not enrolled."AAF also believes the conservative policy wins in the bill will also be a strong talking point, urging GOP lawmakers to point out that the legislation effectively defunds Planned Parenthood for a year, establishes a new tax credit for school choice, and "disincentivizes gambling by letting gamblers only write off 90% of their losses."148 DEMOCRATS BACK NONCITIZEN VOTING IN DC AS GOP RAISES ALARM ABOUT FOREIGN AGENTSHouse Republicans working to sell the bill will have their work cut out for them over the next four weeks, however.A recent Fox News poll conducted in mid-July found that 58% of registered voters disapproved of the "big, beautiful bill," compared to just 39% who supported it.The gap between Republicans and Democrats is significant 73% of registered Republican voters approved of the bill, compared to just 10% of Democrats. Independents opposed the bill by a margin of 29% to 70%.But Democrats aren't in the clear, either. A new poll released Monday by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that a significant number of Democratic Party voters see their party as "weak" and "ineffective."0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 16 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMNFL's, MLB's Giants poke fun at infamous Mike Francesa radio show phone call with 'annual meeting'The long-awaited meetup between the San Francisco Giants and New York Giants has finally happened.Back in 2015, "Dan in Warwick" called legendary New York sports radio host Mike Francesa and asked him if "there had ever been a franchise-to-franchise get-together" between the MLB and NFL teams, since they had the same name and the MLB team used to play in New York.Francesa was absolutely flabbergasted, saying, "That might be the weirdest question in a long time."CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COMHe then joked that the "Giant picnic" is in Totowa during a weekend together, and the New York and Texas Rangers have similar gatherings in Albeliene."[Henrik] Lundqvist is particularly close with Yu Darvish," Francesa joked. "There's a kinship there between the two of them."It has gone down as one of the greatest phone calls in radio show history, and it's been a hot topic in the tri-state with the MLB's Giants in New York this weekend to take on the Mets.Well, "Dan in Warick's" wishes have finally been granted. In a video posted on X, Francesa is seen walking through a hall before entering a door. Spotted in the room are New York's Eli Manning and Shaun O'Hara, and San Francisco's Logan Webb and Matt Chapman at the "Giants Giants Annual Meeting" (probably in Totowa).GIRLFRIEND OF TRAVIS AND JASON KELCE'S FATHER DEAD AT 74: 'LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION'"They really do get together!" Francesa says, before exiting the room. The MLB team posted, "Our turn to host next year."Francesa fell victim to many prank calls in his later years, including if the Mets could go 162-0 after an Opening Day victory, how Mickey Mantle could win the Triple Crown if he was not a horse, that the Mets should call up "Game of Thrones" characters Jon Snow and Tyrion Lannister (which he thought was a bad idea), and, well, whatever this is.Francesa retired briefly in 2017 but returned a few months later, but went back off the radio airwaves full-time in 2019 and later started a podcast.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X,and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 16 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMConor McGregor urges Irish citizens to sign petition that would 'ensure' spot on country's presidential ballotConor McGregor said back in March that he was running to be Ireland's president now, he's aiming to make it official. The UFC superstar posted a link to a petition to social media Monday that would "ensure" he is on the ballot."I, Conor McGregor hereby declare my intention to seek the esteemed office of President of Ireland," McGregor wrote in the petition.CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM"The current constitutional framework however presents a significant barrier to democratic participation. The existing regulations mandate that a candidate must secure nominations from either twenty members of the Oireachtas or four county councils to be eligible for the ballot. This system, while intended to ensure a degree of political influence among candidates, inadvertently restricts the direct voice of the Irish electorate."In light of this, I propose a petition advocating for a modification of the nomination process to allow my name be included on the ballot. I contend that the citizens of Ireland, both at home and abroad, should have the unhindered right to determine the candidates who appear on the presidential ballot. Therefore, I implore you to join me in this endeavor by signing this petition. Your support will be instrumental in championing a more inclusive and democratic electoral process, thereby empowering the people of Ireland to shape their own future."UFC'S DANA WHITE REMEMBERS HULK HOGAN AFTER WWE ICON'S DEATHMcGregor's initial announcement about running for president came just days after he met President Donald Trump earlier this year. The former champ has opposed a bill regarding the EU Migration Pact."Ireland must fully implement the EU Migration Pact by June 12, 2026. So between now and 12 June 2026, several pieces of legislation have to be passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas & then signed by the President Who else will stand up to Government and oppose this bill? I will!" McGregor wrote in March."It is the people of Irelands choice! Always! That is a true democracy!.. This is the future of Ireland with me as President. All citizens of Ireland to have a voice and a choice on their future! God bless our people. Vote McGregor and have your voice heard!"McGregor criticized the Irish government at the White House in an attempt to raise awareness of "the issues the people of Ireland face."In September, he teased a potential presidential runin Ireland, calling himself the "only logical choice."McGregor has not fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021. He was supposed to return last year, but a toe injury kept him out of the octagon. He has since said he would only return in a stadium, but showed interest in the UFC event at the White House next year.Follow Fox News Digitalssports coverage on X,and subscribe tothe Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 23 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMontana manhunt expands for ex-soldier suspect seen with stolen survival gear after bar massacreMontana authorities are expanding a rugged, multi-agency manhunt for a former soldier accused of gunning down four people at a local bar, warning the suspect may be armed with camping gear and survival supplies stolen from a second vehicle. The Montana Department of Justice revealed Sunday that Michael Paul Brown, 45, fled the Owl Bar shooting Friday night shirtless and barefoot, only to later be seen near a stolen white Ford F-150 loaded with clothing, food and outdoor gear."We know Michael Paul Brown was shirtless and barefoot when he fled," Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said on Sunday. "We have very good reason to believe that he is clothed now and possibly carrying camping gear. He is probably able to get around undetected."Brown remained at large as of Monday, with the manhunt carrying on over the weekend.VICTIMS OF MONTANA BAR SHOOTING IDENTIFIED AS MANHUNT FOR MILITARY VETERAN SUSPECT CONTINUESAuthorities said that the manhunt for Brown has expanded, with hundreds of local, state and federal officers, including the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation, ATF, FBI, U.S. Marshals and local county agencies. Fox News Digital has reached out to the lead agency in the manhunt, the Montana Department of Justice, for comment.Brown was last seen in "Stump Town," which lies just west of the town of Anaconda, Montana, which is in southwestern Montana. Authorities said that the terrain is steep, remote and heavily wooded."Theyre dealing with extremely rugged terrain," Knudsen said. "Local law enforcement is stretched thin right now."GUNMAN SHOOTS MULTIPLE PEOPLE AT MONTANA BUSINESS, AUTHORITIES LAUNCH INTENSIVE MANHUNTThe four victims, 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelley, 59-year-old Daniel Edwin Baillie, 70-year-old David Allen Leach and 74-year-old Tony Wayne Palm, were locals known in the small town of Anaconda, which has a population of approximately 9,000. Kelley was a bartender at the local establishment, with the three other victims patrons, authorities said.Brown, authorities revealed, lived next door to the bar."Everybody knows everybody in a town like this," one resident told The Associated Press.Browns niece, Clare Boyle, said that her uncle has struggled with mental illness for years, and she and other family members repeatedly sought help."This isnt just a drunk/high man going wild," she said in a Facebook message to the AP. "Its a sick man who doesnt know who he is sometimes and frequently doesnt know where or when he is either."WATCH:MANHUNT INTENSIFIES FOR ARMY VETERAN SUSPECTED OF KILLING 4 IN BAR SHOOTING AFTER TRUCK FOUND ABANDONEDThe U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of $7,500 for any information that leads to the arrest or capture of Brown. Residents are encouraged to call 1-877-926-8332 to report a tip.Residents in the area have been told to stay inside their homes and remain on high alert. He has been described as 5-foot, 10-inches and about 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. The state's attorney general told residents to not approach the armed and dangerous murder suspect, saying, "This is an unstable individual who walked in and murdered four people in cold blood for no reason whatsoever."Brown was an armor crewman in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and served in the National Guard from April 2006 to March 2008, Army Public Affairs confirmed to Fox News Digital. He deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005 and left the service with the rank of sergeant. He also served as an armor crewman in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, officials said.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 23 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMMajor business group intervenes to blunt Newsom lawsuit attempting to reinstate EV mandatesEXCLUSIVE: A major pro-business group will intervene Monday on the side of the federal government as California leads several other states in trying to undo Congress rescission of several electric vehicle (EV) mandates. The American Free Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (AmFree) a pro-limited-government alternative to the older U.S. Chamber of Commerce will file suit in Oakland federal court to intervene in Californias challenge to three bipartisan Congressional Review Act resolutions signed by President Donald Trump that blocked the Golden State from enforcing what AmFree calls "radical" and commercially damaging EV mandates.AmFree and several agricultural and trade organizations backing its intervention said they intend to help make the case that California and the other blue states it is leading as plaintiffs against the government remain preempted from enforcing the mandates and that the mooted restrictions were stifling American commerce."[The] entire complaint should be dismissed with prejudice," AmFree wrote in its filing, as the Congressional Review Act (CRA) itself the tool that Congress used to block the mandates shields any aspect of the situation from a judicial review.CA DROPS GREEN BIG-RIG MANDATES, ENDING LEGAL FIGHT WITH BILL BARR-LINKED GROUPTherefore, AmFree argues, California lacks standing and courts have no constitutional authority to interfere with internal congressional processes like CRA.Congress properly used its power to invalidate the Biden-era waivers granted by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to California, they argue."President Trump and members of Congress deserve tremendous credit for putting Californias EV mandates on the trash heap where they belong,"said AmFree CEO Gentry Collins. "If allowed to move forward, these onerous regulations would have been catastrophic for the U.S. economy."Just because Governor Newsom doesnt like the outcome doesnt mean he can weaponize the courts to subvert the will of elected representatives who answer to voters."Michael Buschbacher, the lead attorney in the case and a partner at Boyden Gray, told Fox News Digital in a Monday interview that the law is clear when it comes to challenging CRAs like those passed to blunt the EV mandates.DOZENS OF STATES LOBBY EPA TO DENY CALIFORNIA WAIVER FORCING OUT-OF-STATE STRUCKS TO COMPLY WITH GREEN MANDATE"Congress said that there's no judicial review for CRA resolutions. So that alone should end things, and then, when you think about what they're doing, theyre trying to undo a law as best I can tell, their theory is theyre constitutionally entitled to the filibuster, but the filibusters not in the Constitution and I dont see any viable legal arguments that they have," Buschbacher said."Thats why, along with our motion to intervene, were including a motion to dismiss with prejudice."He also noted that because lawsuits against the government often drag on through multiple presidential administrations, having AmFree and its trade association partners as intervenors helps prevent "collusive settlements" which can happen when new officeholders bring shifting priorities or legal interpretations. When asked about the case under the lens of ongoing debates on federal judicial activism and overreach, Buschbacher added that the blue-state plaintiffs are "definitely trying to get the judiciary to step way out of line into second-guessing the core parts of the institutional prerogatives of the House and Senate.""I'm not aware of any lawsuit that has tried to go this far [regarding] the separation of powers."It's clear this is not one of those issues that is like the Trump administration doing something completely novel and courts having to wrestle with that. This is like squarely, Congress passed the law. You can't undo that law unless it's unconstitutional and there's nothing unconstitutional here."California Gov. Gavin Newsom and California Attorney General Robert Bonta defended the merits of their suit, claiming EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and the Trump administration defied "decades of precedent" by approving Congress CRAs.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"Trumps all-out assault on California continues and this time hes destroying our clean air and Americas global competitiveness in the process. We are suing to stop this latest illegal action by a President who is a wholly-owned subsidiary of big polluters," Newsom said in a statement.Newsom and Bonta argued in a June statement when filing the suit that it was actually Republican icon then-Gov. Ronald Reagan who first accelerated Californias clean-air efforts when he sought waivers from then-President Richard Nixon."[Trumps] reckless, politically motivated, and illegal attacks on California continue, this time with his attempt to trample on our longstanding authority to maintain more stringent clean vehicle standards," Bonta said."The President is busy playing partisan games with lives on the line and yanking away good jobs that would bolster the economy ignoring that these actions have life or death consequences for California communities breathing dirty, toxic air. Ive said it before."Ill say it again: California will not back down," Bonta said.Several blue states, including Pennsylvania, remain tied to some of Californias EV mandates, with the owner of a Lenhartsville trucking company warning journalist John Stossel in a recent interview that without breaking from the Golden State, the industry would have problems.Virginia is one state that was able to break with California. As Buschbacher said, Richmond found a technicality in their own statute where it assumed California was going to enshrine its EV mandate in one statutory subsection versus another in the state code. That helped Virginia back out of the pact previously approved by former Gov. Ralph Northam.0 Комментарии 0 Поделились 24 Просмотры 0 предпросмотр

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMCincinnati residents on edge after viral beatdown sparks crime concerns: 'What's gonna happen next?'Cincinnati residents say that the viral July 26 downtown beatdown that gripped the nation does not define their city, though some say violent crime is an issue."I don't think it's accurate," Josh Pels, a downtown bartender, told Fox News Digital. "I would say the crime and violent crime in particular has gone up, I would say, over the course of the last six months for sure. [The Over-the-Rhine area] usually has it worse than we have it down here, but there's definitely been an uptick in violent crime."In the video, a group of people can be seen pummeling two victims, one of whom ended up with "very bad brain trauma." The incident occurred in the early morning hours of July 26 on the corner of Fourth and Elm Street, outside a popular nightclub.DOJ, FBI INVESTIGATE BRUTAL CINCINNATI ASSAULT CAPTURED IN VIRAL VIDEOAnother angle of the fight shows a victim being beaten in the middle of the street and yelling racial slurs. Some claim the male victim slapped one of the perpetrators before the fight, sparking the beatdown.Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said in a Friday press conference that there are a total of six victims. Six people have been charged with crimes, and four have been arrested. The city's fugitive task force is searching for the two suspects who are still at large.Corey Mitchell is also a Cincinnati resident. He said the city doesn't typically have problems like the brawl."So that was just an action-reaction type of thing," he said. "That ain't no big deal. They could put it up in the news and seem like it's a prejudiced place or something like that. But that's just an action and a reaction that happened, and disagreements. That was about it."Robert Brown, a life-long resident, agreed. He said Cincinnati has "probably less fights than other cities," and that social media amplified the beating to a level that put the city in the spotlight.CINCINNATI BUSINESS OWNERS SLAM VIRAL 'OUT OF CONTROL' BEATING AMID FIGHT TO CLEAN UP DOWNTOWNHe also said that while brutal, the victim who he said slapped a man in the crowd and kicked off the beatdown, should have expected repercussions."Well, I mean all the extra stuff after the smack really wasn't warranted," he said, adding that the perpetrators "may have took it too far.""At the same time, he still shouldn't have smacked him. You know what I mean? You know, to start the whole situation off, so, you put your hands on somebody, you're going to be ready for the repercussions," said Brown.A fourth resident described her immediate reaction after seeing the fight."I was in shock by what I saw," said Shirley Blair. "I was busy surfing through the internet, making calls, trying to figure out there's gotta be a backstory behind this. And apparently there were other things that happened leading up to that."Blair said she hopes the brawl doesn't spiral into something even more serious."And in the back of my mind I wonder, okay, what's gonna happen next? Can we sit down and talk about the situation? Is it gonna spring into something else?"POLICE IDENTIFY MULTIPLE SUSPECTS IN BRUTAL CINCINNATI STREET FIGHT: 'CRUEL AND ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE'Local police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are still sorting out all the actions leading up to the fight. In a Friday press conference, Mayor Aftab Pureval warned that everyone seen fighting will face consequences, vowing "further investigation, further charges and further arrests for every single person involved."Montianez Merriweather, 34, and Dekyra Vernon, 24, were arrested Tuesday night. Both face felonious assault, aggravated riot and assault charges. Merriweather is being held on a $500,000 bond, while Vernon is being held on a $200,000 bond. They remain in jail as of Monday morning.Jermaine Matthews, 39, was released from Hamilton County Jail on Friday after paying a combined $270,000 bond. He was hit with five charges stemming from the beatdown, two counts of assault, two counts of felony assault and aggravated riot for his alleged participation in the brutal brawl.A fourth suspect was arrested on Friday night.Dominique Kittle faces charges of aggravated riot and misdemeanor assault.
