WWW.FOXNEWS.COMSEN RICK SCOTT, REP BYRON DONALDS: TrumpandBessent's IRS reform: Lets end job-killing policiesWe came to Washington with a similar mission: fight for Florida families, for freedomandfor the kind of economic opportunity that lets every American chase their dream. President Donald Trump came here for the same reason. But a threat to this mission continues to exist in the IRS, a bloated, unaccountable agency that, under Joe Biden, turned into a weapon against working Americans.Thats changing now.President Trump made a smart move by puttingScottBessent in charge at the IRS. Hes a businessman, not a bureaucrat. He knows how to get things doneandunderstands what matters: getting results, protecting taxpayersandgetting the IRS out of the business of harassing Americans. Thats a win for every American whos ever tried to follow the rulesandstill ended up under audit.TRUMP'S 'BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL' AND ITS PERMANENT TAX CUT WILL CHANGE THE WORLDBessent has already started clearing out the Biden-era holdovers who turned the agency into a tool for their political agenda. Thats great news. But its only step one.Arecentreportfrom the Treasury inspector general found that audits targeting taxpayers skyrocketed in 2024,andthat the agency is on track to fulfill its obligations under Bidens 2022 agency directive.Heres what we need next: end the job-killing tax policies the Biden administration forced onto Florida familiesandsmall businesses that are still occurring today. The focus needs to be on reducing the sizeandincreasing the efficiency of the IRS, improving transparency, protecting Americans' private informationandstrengthening customer service. The first place to start is endingRevenue Ruling 2014-14, a nightmare policy that has created total confusion for Americans across the country. It forced business owners into a corner, making them choose between conflicting rulesandrisking IRS audits either way. Thats not how you grow jobs. Thats how you shut down small businesses.TRUMPS ONE BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL COULD CEMENT ECONOMIC LEGACY FOR DECADESAndthis isnt just theory. We hear from Floridians across the state, from businesses smallandlarge, that Bidens IRS made it harder to hire, investandgrow. Biden approved $70 billion for 87,000 new IRS agents to make sure they squeeze every penny possible out of American families. Because of that, Floridians dont trust that their government has their back. Theyre doing the right thing, andstill, theyre looking over their shoulders, waiting for the IRS to come knocking. That fear kills jobs. It limits opportunity.Andit hits Florida harder than most, because were a state built on entrepreneurship, where anything is possible.Secretary Bessent gets it. Hes pledged to bring the IRS back to basics: collect revenue, protect privacyandserve the taxpayer. No politics, no games, no harassment.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONWith Trump leadingandBessent executing, we finally have a shot to fix this broken agency. But weve got to finish the job. That means scrapping Revenue Ruling 2014-14andany Biden policy that punishes job creators. It means ending selective enforcement that targets conservativesandlets liberals off the hook. These are quick actions the IRS can take to give families, retireesandbusiness owners the certainty they need to buildandgrow. In Florida, we dont want handouts, we want freedom. The freedom to work hard, create jobsandlive out the American Dream without the IRS breathing down our necks.President TrumpandScottBessent are delivering real results. Now Congress needs to back them upandmake these reforms permanent. The IRS should work for the people, not against them.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM SEN. RICK SCOTTCLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM REP. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMHow we realize Trump's vision to make federal architecture beautiful againArchitecture speaks volumes about how any culture sees the world and the values that guide it. When Americans think of the buildings that best reflect our values, we think of landmarks like the Capitol, the White House, the Supreme Court, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. All these structures have something in common: theyre beautiful and made of stone that radiates with light. Theres something about them that makes you look up, take notice and feel pride. More importantly, they reflect the kind of classic architecture thats stood the test of time, going back to the traditions of ancient Greece and Rome.George Washington and Thomas Jefferson put an emphasis on classical architecture when they helped design Americas capital. Jefferson hailed the U.S. Capitol building as "the first temple dedicated to the sovereignty of the people, embellishing with Athenian taste the course of a nation looking far beyond the range ofAthenian destinies." Washington praised the "grandeur, simplicity, and beauty" of the Capitols neoclassical design. The Founders started a classical tradition that lasted nearly 150 years. It inspired the construction of beautiful buildings across America, such asIndianapolis Birch Bayh U.S. Courthouse a beaux arts design completed in 1905. Built with Indiana limestone, it features Ionic columns and grand courtrooms.NETWORKS DISTORT WHAT TRUMP REALLY WANTS TO FIX ABOUT OUR MUSEUMSTheTippecanoe County Courthouse in Lafayette, Indiana, is another great example. Completed in 1884, its three-tiered clock tower, sculptures and domed roof make this courthouse one of Indianas most beautiful public buildings. But starting in the 1960s, our national government stopped prioritizing beautiful buildings. Today, fewer than 10% of new government buildings are in the classical or traditional mold. Ugly structures have emerged, including brutalist concrete hulks here in Washington like the FBI headquarters and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Three different HUD secretaries one Republican and two Democrats have compared their building to 10 floors of basement.More recently, weve gotten new courthouses that resemble bizarre art projects, and in some cases blatantly undermine our countrys values. The architect of the Nancy Pelosi San Francisco Federal Building has openly said his work takes an "aggressive attitude" toward the public.TRUMP IS RIGHT TO BRING LAW AND ORDER BACK TO DCTo overturn this trend, I (Sen. Banks) will soon introduce the Beautifying Federal Civic Architecture Act. It codifies President Donald Trumps executive order "Making Federal Architecture Beautiful Again." My bill, like that order, demands that new federal buildings "uplift and beautify public spaces, inspire the human spirit, ennoble the United States, and command respect from the general public."My legislation doesnt mandate any specific style for buildings across the country it only requires a preference for classical and traditional architecture designs, which include everything from neoclassical to art deco to Romanesque to Pueblo revival. My bill also requires federal agencies to gather substantial input from local communities when designs are being selected for federal buildings. At present, there is absolutely zero requirement for federal agencies to consider what kind of buildings the people they serve want. My legislation reverses that, ensuring the public has a say in the design of their government buildings.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONOur country is still capable of building beautiful, dignified public architecture that encourages civic virtue. The Tuscaloosa Federal Building and Courthouse, which opened in 2012, stands as proof of that. Its classical design not only conveys strength and beauty; even more impressively, it was completed on time and under budget. It proves that beautiful designs do not have to come at the expense of fiscal responsibility. The truth is that most Americans prefer classical architecture for their government buildings. A 2020National Civic Art Society/Harris Poll survey of 2,000 U.S. adults found that 72% of Americans preferred traditional designs. Majorities across every demographic group favor this approach, including 70% of Democrats and 73% of Republicans.Admittedly, some cultural elites will defend even the ugliest designs. Those same social activists complain that classicism reflects Western civilization and American values and history at the time of the founding. Guilty as charged. Those critics are right but not in the way they believe. The design of our public buildings is not just about aesthetics and beauty. It is also a debate over Western values: who we are, who we wish to be as a nation. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who had a passion for architecture, was fond of quoting Thomas Jefferson for that very reason: "Design activity and political thought are indivisible."Political architecture is, by nature, a political choice. The Founders always intended for Washington, D.C., to be a classical city. Thats why we must pass my bill to ensure our federal buildings continue to boldly reflect the values that make America the greatest nation on Earth.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM SEN. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMDR. MARC SIEGEL: Charlie Kirk shooting suspect shows the dangers of kids lost in gaming cultureWhen I was a kid, I remember feeling that an hour a week playing the video game "Space Invaders" at an arcade was a sinful pursuit with no real upside. I knew intuitively that I was better off out in a park playing baseball or basketball. Over time, I managed to fight off a budding addiction. By comparison, todays video game, internet and social media buffet feels like a gluttonous banquet addictive and unhealthy for both body and soul.We dont know the exact role that video gaming and social media immersion played in the worsening mental health of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the alleged killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. But we do know he was steeped in that world. The horrific events of last week are more than enough to alert us that we are underestimating the impact of social media as well as violent video games like "Helldivers 2." The game won an award last year despite being a satire of a fascist multi-galaxy empire. Sadly, a reference to this game appears to have shown up in an inscription on ammunition found with Robinsons rifle.CHARLIE KIRK ALLEGED ASSASSIN'S ROOMMATE WAS 'PROBLEMATIC' BEFORE FAMILY KICKED HIM OUT, RELATIVE SAYSAs Alyssa Finley wrote in The Wall Street Journal this week, in an insightful piece aptly titled, "Tyler Robinson and Americas Lost Boys": "Marinating in an internet cesspool cant be good for the young and malleable male mind. Might killing villains in video games desensitize the conscience? Studies have found an association between violent video games and aggressive behavior, though most people who assume online avatars and fight monsters dont become violent."But they do become lost in cyberspace. They do enter and stay in a dissociative reality that discourages social interaction and moral development. In March 2025, the FBI warned the public of a growing network of exploitative online social media threats to young people. The Internet Crime Complaint Center wrote: "These networks exist on publicly available online platforms, such as social media sites, gaming platforms, and mobile applications commonly used by young people These violent actors target vulnerable populations to include children as well as those who struggle with a variety of mental health issues, such as depression, eating disorders, or suicidal ideation. Threat actors often groom their victims by first establishing a trusting or romantic relationship before eventually manipulating and coercing them into engaging in escalating harmful behavior designed to shame and isolate them."Indeed, those with a propensity toward mental illness are the most easily targeted for exploitation. Recent research reveals that adolescents who spend three hours or more per day on social media have double the risk of anxiety or depression.AMERICANS CHEERING ACCUSED KILLERS SHOWS DANGEROUS 'DEHUMANIZATION' OF OPPONENTS, DOUGLAS MURRAY WARNSMultiple studies have shown that most children and adolescents who are heavy social media users end up feeling worse about themselves. And there isnt a strong distinction here between video gaming and social media. It is all part of an online presencea saturation of virtual reality that is diversionary but also isolating, the last thing a growing child, adolescent or young adult needs.WHAT TO DO ABOUT ITThere is little a parent can do by the time someone is 22-years-old, like Robinson, but there is plenty of time before then.We already had a wake-up call last year when Luigi Mangione, 27, who had a background in video game development, was indicted for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.Limits should be placed on social media, cell phone and internet use, and on video gaming time. Parents should set an example by limiting their own screen time and social media engagement.CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINIONDinner should be a time for open discussion, including about topics like the Kirk murder, which should not be off limits. But the focus should be on more positive emotionskindness, caring, compassion and courage all of which course through the same emotional centers of the brain as fear and hatred. The aftermath of a horrific event such as this one can be a time for expressing faith and coming together to mourn. It is the worst possible time for further division and political attacks, which are also contagious.Social media, video games and avatars easily amplify our worst instincts. We can do better. We can teach our children to be their best selves in a world without avatars.CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM DR. MARC SIEGEL0 Comments 0 Shares 7 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMJimmy Kimmel's late-night evolution from apolitical funnyman to Dem activistJimmy Kimmel's evolution as a comedian is perhaps the most striking of any of his late-night rivals.Kimmel made a name for himself in the early 2000s as co-host of Comedy Central's sketch comedy series "The Man Show." His humor thrived on political incorrectness as "The Man Show" touted male stereotypes, famously featured "girls on trampolines" and Kimmel himself repeatedly donned blackface to impersonate celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and NBA star Karl Malone. He also used the n-word while parodying Snoop Dogg's music in 1996.He entered the big leagues in 2003 with the launch of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on ABC after the 2002 cancellation of "Politically Incorrect," which was engulfed in a national firestorm when host Bill Maher argued the 9/11 hijackers weren't cowardly just days after the 2001 terrorist attacks.DISNEY SAYS JIMMY KIMMEL'S SHOW WILL BE PREEMPTED INDEFINITELY FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSINATION COMMENTSFor several years, Kimmel largely refrained from controversy. Even during the 2016 election cycle, he had a very cordial interview with then-candidate Donald Trump, who made previous appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" promoting "The Apprentice."Weeks after Trump's inauguration, Kimmel swiped the new president while hosting the Oscars."I want to say thank you to President Trump. I mean, remember last year when it seemed like the Oscars were racist? It's gone!" Kimmel said to the crowd of liberal A-listers in February 2017. It wasn't until May 2017 that Kimmel began embracing the role as a liberal activist. He offered a tearful monologue following his newborn son's open-heart surgery and began advocating for affordable healthcare for everyone, putting pressure on GOP lawmakers at the time during their effort to repeal Obamacare. That September, he called out Republican senators like Lindsey Graham, S.C., and Bill Cassidy, La., for their health care proposal, and he used talking points opposing the reform measure sent from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.Kimmel then drew liberal media plaudits when he used his entire monologue on Oct. 3, 2017, to call for gun control and attack Republicans in the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre. During his remarks, he made several misleading remarks, such as suggesting semi-automatic rifles which fire one bullet per trigger pull and make up the vast majority of rifles in the United States - aren't used in home defense. He accused Republicans who disagreed on the Second Amendment of not caring about who lived or died."We have a major problem with gun control in this country, and I guess they don't care," he said. "And if I'm wrong on that, fine, do something about it, because I'm sick of it. I want this to be a comedy show. I hate talking about stuff like this."LIBERALS RAGE AS ABC PULLS JIMMY KIMMEL OFF AIR FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN COMMENTSDays later, Kimmel spoke candidly about the risk he runs alienating viewers as he became more political during an interview on "CBS Sunday Morning.""I want everyone with a television to watch the show, but if they're so turned off by my opinion on health care and gun violence, then I probably wouldn't want to have a conversation with them anyway." he said.It didn't take long for Kimmel to start lobbing personal attacks. Following the 2018 White House Easter Egg Roll, Kimmel mocked First Lady Melania Trump's accent after playing a clip of her reading a book to children. To commemorate the halfway point of Trump's first term in 2019, Kimmel had a skit depicting the president's late father Fred Trump in hell and another skit making lewd jokes about his then-White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's personal life.In August 2019, Kimmel mocked Trump voters, saying Americans who support the president have been "repeatedly punched in the head."Leading up to the 2020 election cycle, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" increasingly became a platform for Democrats, rolling out the red carpet for presidential hopefuls like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Cory Booker. Kimmel even handed the keys over to Pete Buttigieg to guest-host his show in March 2020.He's also welcomed other top Democrats over the years, including Sen. Adam Schiff, Calif., Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, N.Y., Jasmine Crockett, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, failed Texas senate candidate Beto O'Rouke, and failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. ABC'S JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE HEMORRHAGED VIEWERS OVER THE PAST DECADE, LOST 72% AMONG KEY DEMOKimmel took flack for peddling a misleading video of then-Vice President Mike Pence, accusing him of carrying "empty" PPE boxes at a healthcare facility in the early months of COVID. He was forced to apologize. In December 2020, Kimmel argued Pence shouldn't get the COVID vaccine after Pence falsely predicted earlier in the pandemic that a second wave of the virus wouldn't occur, saying, "The only cure Mike Pence should get right now is a bottle of Clorox and a heat lamp."Ahead of the election, Kimmel urged viewers to vote out Republicans he accused of wanting to gut pre-existing condition measures in health insurance laws. Kimmel celebrated Biden's inauguration in January 2021, saying he personally felt "great again" and gushing over the "beautiful" ceremony.Kimmel once suggested that over-crowded hospitals shouldn't treat patients who did not take the COVID vaccine."That choice doesn't seem so tough to me. Vaccinated having a heart attack? Yes, come right in. We'll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo, rest in peace, wheezy," Kimmel quipped in September 2021.Last year, Kimmel played a pivotal role in shielding Biden's cognitive decline. In February 2024, he completely avoided mentioning the Robert Hur report, which revealed the DOJ would not prosecute Biden over his mishandling of classified documents because a jury would find him being a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory." In early June, he avoided The Wall Street Journal report that early June that said Biden was showing "signs of slipping" behind the scenes.Kimmel emceed the now-infamous Los Angeles fundraiser that was highlighted in "Original Sin," where Biden appeared not to have recognized celebrity fundraiser co-host George Clooney in an exchange backstage. Kimmel could also be seen in the viral video of Biden freezing on stage and being escorted away by former President Barack Obama. At the time, Kimmel insisted there was no there there."There's a clip of Joe Biden going around today. They say he froze and had to be escorted offstage on Saturday night. I was standing right next to him when it happened. He didn't freeze. He was just listening to the people calling him in the front row," Kimmel told his audience before slamming "right-wing media" for "working very hard to claim Biden's out of it" last June.FCC CHAIR LEVELS THREAT AGAINST ABC, DISNEY AFTER KIMMEL SUGGESTED CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN WAS 'MAGA'The ABC host did, however, roast conservatives for insisting Biden would be replaced on the Democratic ticket, saying it "almost makes no sense" within days of Biden's disastrous debate performance.Fast-forward to November, when Kimmel choked up during an emotional monologue reacting to Trump's victory."Lets be honest, it was a terrible night last night," Kimmel told his audience. "It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hardworking immigrants who make this country go."He continued, while holding back tears, "Um, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech. It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on social security. For our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth and democracy and decency. And it was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him, and guess what? It was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too. You just don't realize it yet."ABC INSIDER HOPES LIBERAL TAKE THIS LESSON AWAY FROM JIMMY KIMMEL SAGAIn March of this year, Kimmel appeared to endorse the vandalizing of Tesla vehicles during Elon Musk's stint leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for the second Trump administration."People have been vandalizing Tesla vehicles, new Tesla vehicles. Please, don't vandalize, dont ever vandalize Tesla vehicles," Kimmel said, looking at the camera and pausing to seemingly emphasize his sarcasm. In June, Kimmel participated in the "No Kings" protests that were held nationwide."A huge, inspiring and yes - peaceful - turnout in the South Bay. I met many people who love this country and still believe it to be a force for good. I am grateful to see so many Americans take action to stand up for our friends and neighbors, most of all, my parents. I know how fortunate I am to have been born into a family that taught me to care about others and that the most important words ever spoken are Love one another. It really is as simple as that," Kimmel posted on Instagram. He posted a photo of a shirt that he wore for the protest as well, which read "Make America Good Again," and told his followers, "See you out there."CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST MEDIA AND CULTURE NEWS"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" came to a screeching halt on Wednesday following growing backlash against Kimmel over comments he made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.On Monday, Kimmel suggested the alleged assassin, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was part of the "MAGA gang" despite reports he had a left-wing ideology, which was later reaffirmed in Tuesday's indictment."We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel told his audience. He also mocked Trump over an exchange he had with a reporter about Kirk's death, saying, "This is not how an adult grieves the murder of somebody he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?"Disney was facing mounting pressure from ABC affiliate stations around the country as well as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over its handling of Kimmel. The company ultimately decided it would preempt his show "indefinitely."While Kimmel's future at ABC remains uncertain, his viewership does not bode well for him. Over the past decade, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" lost 40% of its total audience, falling from an average of 2.4 million viewers in 2015 to 1.6 million in 2025. It's even worse among the advertiser-coveted demo ages 25-54, going from nearly 1 million of them in 2015 to just 261,000 in 2025, a staggering 72% drop.During a 2022 interview, Kimmel admitted his fan base took a hit for his anti-Trump obsession, and shrugged off concerns from his ABC bosses who wanted him to tamp it down."I just said, Listen, if thats what you want to do, I understand, and I dont begrudge you for it, but Im not going to do that," Kimmel said. "So, you know, if you want somebody else to host the show, then thats fine. Thats OK with me. Im just not going to do it like that."0 Comments 0 Shares 7 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMChristian minister speaks out after being branded racist in protest of signs honoring controversial figureA Michigan resident is speaking out after being told he was "not welcome" in his own city for raising concerns about street signs honoring the controversial founder and publisher of The Arab American News.Ted Barham, a Christian minister and resident of Dearborn, attended a city council meeting earlier this month to oppose renaming an intersection after Osama Siblani. Barham accused Siblani of supporting terror groups and promoting violence in the Middle East and on American soil."When he's kind of synonymous with Hezbollah and now Hamas, I didn't think it was appropriate for his name to be up so publicly in this city here in America," Barham stressed on the "Will Cain Country" podcast.EXCLUSIVE: MAN WHO SPARRED WITH MUSLIM DEARBORN MAYOR, TOLD HE WASN'T 'WELCOME' REVEALED AS CHRISTIAN MINISTERAt the public meeting, Barham read from a comment made by Siblani, a Lebanese-American, which he argued encouraged violence not only in the Middle East, but also in the United States.Barham argued that Siblani once spoke about "the blood of the martyrs" irrigating the land of Palestine. He quoted Siblani as allegedly saying in an 2022 speech: "Believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others fight with planes, drones, and rockets."Siblani rejected Barhams allegations as false, telling Fox News Digital he was "the only person" to oppose the street sign.He said support for the honor has been widespread, adding, "Thousands of residents in Dearborn, across Michigan, and throughout the country have praised the sign recognizing my more than four decades of service."Siblani also argued that Barhams claims were "based on false information and bias."WHITMER SILENT ON MUSLIM MAYOR TELLING RESIDENT HES NOT WELCOME FOR SLAM ON TERRORIST SYMPATHIZERBarham told Will Cain that he lived in the Middle East for a time and said he fears what he referred to as the flow of "hostility" from Muslim-majority countries into the West.Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud defended the decision, saying Siblani had contributed greatly to the community through his decades leading The Arab American News. He dismissed Barhams concerns and told him to "close his eyes" if he didnt want to see the signs."I didn't think that was great advice because then I might crash if I close my eyes when I'm driving there," Barham later said, stressing that he had no intent to spread hate toward the Muslim community.JEWISH LEADER PREDICTS VIOLENT FUTURE FOR NYC RESIDENTS IF MAMDANI WINS IN NOVEMBER: 'REAL CONCERN'"I don't want to just encourage more hostility towards Muslim friends. I want to encourage love towards Muslim friends," he said, emphasizing that his faith played a role in his decision to speak out about the intersection signs. In the meeting, Hammoud called Barham a "racist," "bigot" and an "Islamophobe."He went on to declare: "Although you live here, I want you to know, as mayor, you are not welcome here, and the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of this city."Barham said he responded to the moment with faith."I think it's very important to show Christian love to our enemies," he said. "That's why I responded by saying, God bless you, mayor. God bless you, sir."Now, Barham said hes facing online retaliation."I was kicked off Facebook, permanently, suddenly kicked off Facebook, lost my personal account of 16 years, my personal photos, family photos and all my media pages," he said.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPBarham said he believes the ban followed his posting of a video urging Muslims to convert to Christianity and claimed that some residents, "possibly the mayor himself," played a role.0 Comments 0 Shares 28 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMWhy ABC ousted Jimmy Kimmel for calling Charlie Kirks killer a MAGA memberJimmy Kimmel didnt read the electronic room. And it cost him his job.Now that Disney and ABC executives, after huddling all day, pulled the plug as Kimmel was preparing for Wednesday nights show, its hard to see him returning. The brass said hes suspended "indefinitely," meaning "lose our number."There are serious free speech concerns here, especially against the backdrop of government pressure.Nexstar, an ABC affiliate that owns NewsNation, also said it would preempt the show on its stations.DISNEY PULLS JIMMY KIMMEL'S SHOW AFTER COMMENTS ON CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSINATION AND MORE TOP HEADLINESWith Stephen Colbert confined to a final season at CBS, that would mean two of the three late-night hosts on broadcast networks would be banished. Both are social commentators, of course, and fervently anti-Trump.One happy camper is Donald Trump, who has been feuding with Kimmel. (I played a small role in that, as well see in a moment.)Trump congratulated ABC on having the "courage" to boot Jimmy. When the Colbert news broke, the president predicted that Kimmel would be next. What Kimmel said, in the wake of Charlie Kirks assassination, isnt that awful. Its about the killer, not, as some early headlines had it, Charlie himself.Right after the shooting, in fact, Kimmel offered a somber, respectful reaction, sending his love to Kirks family. But then he was tone-deaf about the sensitivity of the situation and the widespread anger especially among young conservative activists, but also those who disagreed with Kirk. The atmosphere right now is like a tinderbox that only needed a single match. These are the words from Monday that got him in trouble:"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them."Thats it.I dont agree that the killer was part of the Trump movement. I dont think he was part of any movement, just a crazed madman with a transgender partner who had sympathy for gays but not "fascists." As with all these nutjob murderers and school shooters, the medias search on a "motive" is futile.A month from now, maybe Kimmels sentence wouldnt have caused an uproar. But he should have sensed that this was not the time. Now lets look at what the other side has been saying.Trump, who was close to Kirk, says left-wing radicals are to blame for his killing and that investigations are under way. Elon Musk has labeled "the left" as "the party of murder." Pam Bondi said she would prosecute those guilty of "hate speech," apparently missing the point that the First Amendment is meaningless unless it protects vile speech as long as it doesnt include threats of violence.Against that ocean of rhetoric, Kimmels comment was a small trickle. And that brings us to the Federal Communications Commission, which has the power to revoke broadcast licenses.FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, who I recently interviewed, said this on a podcast:"We can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel or theres going to be additional work for the FCC ahead."Sounds pretty ominous.TRUMP EYES REMARKS AT CHARLIE KIRK MEMORIAL IN ARIZONA, BLAMES LEFT FOR SUSPECTS RADICALIZATIONBut Carr kinda sorta walked it back at a Politico conference. "I think you can draw a pretty clear line, and the Supreme Court has done this for decades, that our First Amendment, our free speech tradition, protects almost all speech."Even Laura Ingraham said Carr should have stayed off TV.Trump, meanwhile, urged NBC to fire "two total losers," Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, which would mean a clean sweep of the late-night landscape. Its worth reminding everyone that Charlie Kirk was engaging in free speech and advocating non-violence as he toured the country and built his Turning Point organization.Celebrities, Democrats and some journalists are denouncing the Disney/ABC decision to blow up "Jimmy Kimmel Live." That makes me wonder whether, as in the case of Colberts "Late Show," it was losing money or making relatively little money and the comments provided the pretext for getting it off the books. Now to the backstory. When I sat down with Trump at Mar-a-Lago last year, it was right after the Oscars, hosted, as it turned out, by Kimmel. And he made a joke about Trump: "Isnt it past your jail time?"So let the record show that Jimmy started it at least this round. So I asked the candidate if he had a response."Every night he hits me, I guess," said Trump. "His ratings are terrible So I figured Id hit him, because I thought he was a lousy host."Referring to reports that some Kimmel confidantes had begged him not to make the jail joke, Trump told me: "This guys even dumber than I thought."Oh, but that wasnt the end of it.In his inevitable pushback, Kimmel said of course Fox had picked a guy to interview Trump "that no ones ever heard of."Well! Id only hosted the No. 1 cable show in its time slot for a dozen years, but I guess that didnt matter to the wealthy La-la-land elite.I shot back that while I wasnt a heavily hyped network star like him, my Sunday ratings almost matched his. I used my higher-than-normal rating from the Trump interview, but lets not get bogged down in details.TURNING POINT USA ELECTS ERIKA KIRK AS NEW CEO, CHAIR OF THE BOARD FOLLOWING CHARLIE KIRK'S ASSASSINATIONIll give the final word to Outkick founder Clay Travis, the conservative radio host and frequent guest of mine:"I like Jimmy and his family and have known them for years now. I dont like the concept as someone who talks for a living of any person in any creative industry losing their job for any one thing they say."Travis says there have been frequent attempts to cancel him, adding: "If your principle shifts based on who has power, you actually have no principles."Footnote: I wish most media people, except for those covering hard-news developments, would stop using the name of the suspect in the Charlie Kirk case. For many years, I have refused to name assassins, would-be assassins, mass shooters and school shooters, because that would give them the attention they crave. Just not gonna go there.Do you remember the name of the killers at Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, the Orlando nightclub, the Las Vegas music festival, the Charleston church, Buffalo, Uvalde, or even the Colorado school a couple of weeks ago? I dont either. The faster we can consign them to the dustbin of history, the better.Lavishing attention on them may inspire other would-be gunmen to take action, thinking its a way to turn nobodies into somebodies. And heres the absolute proof from the alleged Kirk killer. The 22-year-old texted his roommate, his romantic partner, about what he had inscribed on the bullet casings. If those messages wound up "on fox new[s] I might have a stroke."Thats why I say its dangerous to reward these heinous figures by making them household names.0 Comments 0 Shares 29 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.FOXNEWS.COMInside United Airlines nerve center: How thousands of flights stay on track every dayIf youve ever boarded a United Airlines flight, theres a good chance your journey was quietly guided by a massive team working behind the scenes, far from the airport, and even farther from the public eye. That team is based at United Airlines Network Operations Center (NOC), a 24/7 command hub located just outside of Chicago, where specialists oversee nearly 5,000 flights a day.The facility houses more than 2,000 employees across 26 departments, from flight dispatch and crew scheduling to meteorology and aircraft maintenance coordination.Together, they monitor and manage Uniteds global operations, including departures and arrivals in major airport hubs.TSA SCREENS RECORD NUMBER OF TRAVELERS OVER LABOR DAY WEEKEND AS AIR TRAVEL SOARS"What you see in front of you is really where our global operations is controlled," Harel Magaritz, managing director of NOC daily operations, said during a behind-the-scenes tour of the center.Magaritz says the job is all about constant coordination and expecting the unexpected."Its about knowing that anything around the world can happen at any given moment," he said. "All the things that come up that could potentially disrupt a flight our job is to collect that information and then communicate it out to the field."That includes everything from mechanical issues to weather delays to crew reassignments.MAJOR AIRLINE MAKES BIG CHANGE TO EASE TRAVEL WOES AMID CHAOS AT NEWARK AIRPORTSPIRIT AIRLINES WARNS IT MAY NOT SURVIVE ANOTHER YEAROne of the most critical teams inside the NOC is the in-house meteorology department, led by Nathan Polderman, senior manager of meteorology. His team is responsible for issuing weather forecasts across Uniteds network, and flagging any events that might delay or ground flights."In some cases, weve had two or three hubs with thunderstorm activity in the same day," Polderman said. "So you can imagine that makes the weather team very busy."Each day starts with two forecasters overnight, ramping up to four meteorologists during the day, according to Polderman. Their forecasts are used by flight dispatchers to decide how or if a flight should proceed.UNITED AIRLINES CEO GIVES 5-WORD PREDICTION THAT LOW-COST RIVAL WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS"Turbulence, icing, bad weather at the destination airport, if anythings going to happen to that flight, the dispatcher is going to coordinate that," Polderman said.Magaritz said the goal is simple: keep flights moving safely and smoothly, often before passengers even realize a problem exists."Its about that comfort level of knowing youre not out there by yourself," Margaritz said. "Youre not just buying a ticket and hoping youll make it to your destination. There are entire teams and thousands of people working in the background."CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APPUnited officials also emphasized how essential it is to receive real-time updates from airports across the country in order to keep operations seamless across the network.0 Comments 0 Shares 43 Views 0 Reviews

Has that ever happened before?" he asked with a wink and a nod.CBS previously announced it would end "The Late Show" in May 2026, just days after parent company Paramount settled President Donald Trumps lawsuita development critics have linked to Paramounts $8 billion merger with Skydance Media.CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST MEDIA AND CULTURE NEWSOn Monday, Kimmel suggested that Kirk's alleged assassin, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was part of the "MAGA gang" despite reports he had a left-wing ideology, which was later reaffirmed in Tuesday's indictment."We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel told his audience. He also mocked Trump over an exchange he had with a reporter about Kirk's death, saying, "This is not how an adult grieves the murder of somebody he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?"Disney had faced mounting pressure from ABC affiliate stations around the country as well as the FCC over its handling of Kimmel. WWW.FOXNEWS.COMFCC chair thinks investigating 'The View' 'worthwhile' after Jimmy Kimmel suspensionFederal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carrsaid Thursday he believes it would be "worthwhile" to investigate whether ABCs daytime talk show "The View" is violating broadcast rules in the wake of Jimmy Kimmels suspension.Carr argued on "The Scott Jennings Show" that the left-leaning talk show could be violating the commission's "equal time" rule, which requires broadcasters to provide equal opportunity to all political candidates except for a "bona fide news show.""Potentially, I would assume you can make the argument that The View is a bona fide news show, but I'm not so sure about that," Carr said. "And I think it's worthwhile to have the FCC look into whether The View and some of these other programs that you have still qualify as bona fide news programs and therefore exempt from the equal opportunity regime that Congress has put in place."'THE VIEW' HOST SUNNY HOSTIN WARNS COLBERT CANCELLATION COULD LEAD TO THE 'DISMANTLING OF OUR CONSTITUTION'Fox News Digital reached out to ABC and Disney for comment.According to the Media Research Center, "The View" failed to book a single right-leaning guest to discuss politics between January and April 2025. At the same time, "The View" managed to welcome 63 liberal guests, including nine Democratic politicians."The View" has also been frequently attacked by the Trump administration over the hosts' tirades against President Donald Trump. A White House spokesperson warned in July that the show could be "pulled off-air" if the attacks didnt stop.An entertainment lawyer with clients at ABC told Fox News Digital that "The View" could very well be the next show on the chopping block."I think The View is next," the lawyer said, saying the show's liberal brand was wearing thin.ABC'S 'THE VIEW' SKIPS JIMMY KIMMEL NEWS ON THURSDAY'S SHOWCarrs suggestion came one day after another ABC program, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" was suspended indefinitely over comments made by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel about the Charlie Kirk assassin."We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said.Prior to the announcement, Carr criticized ABC and Disney over Kimmels conduct.FCC CHAIR BRENDAN CARR DEFENDS ABC AFFILIATES PULLING JIMMY KIMMEL SHOW AFTER MONOLOGUE MOCKING CHARLIE KIRK"And I've been very clear from the moment that I have become chairman of the FCC, I want to reinvigorate the public interest. And what people don't understand is that the broadcasters, and you've gotten this right, are entirely different than people that use other forms of communication. They have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest," Carr said.CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP"Look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way.
